Visually, it’s less intimidating and auditorily, it’s silent, eliminating the jarring clicks and ratchets. Functionally, it’s a seamless replacement for the current speculum, but can be operated with one hand.
The new speculum is designed to reduce the discomfort of insertion, one of the biggest pain points of the exam. Additionally, the new design eliminates the stress-inducing visual and auditory cues of the current speculum.
